![]() One of my biggest complaints about the game is the digivolution system. You get a world to explore in like 1 while the combat system is turned based like 2. ![]() World 3, to put it loosely, combines elements of both 1 and 2. Exploration is limited too and feels more linear compared to 1. Unfortunately, it just became really repetitive to the point that you're bored by the 5th dungeon. I enjoyed this more because it was much simpler to handle. World 2 had a new system, combining dungeon crawling with turn based combat. ![]() The short lifespan of your partner meant that you really only had 2-3 days to explore after getting them to combat ready status I wasn't a huge fan of it as a kid though because it was too challenging for me. IMO, I find that World 1 was the best at capturing what a Digimon game should be, exploring the land with your partner while helping others and growing stronger in the process.
